Nature’s Best

This week, the class was tasked on completing three Daily Creates.

This Daily Create is to fulfill the prompt that was published on June 14.

Where do you find gaps?

This is a gap in between two townhomes across the street from my own.  Fortunately for my husband and I, because of this gap, we are given a small view of the neighborhood lake.

This Daily Create is to fulfill the prompt that was published on June 18.

What’s in a sunset?

The task is to post a picture, creative writing, or creative art of a sunset.

As I was scrolling through my files to find a picture of a sunset, I did not realize that I have a lot more pictures of sunrises than sunsets.  Actually, I could not find a picture of a sunset that I have taken this year.  This one was taken in February 2017 while I was in San Diego, CA for a business trip.

This Daily Create is to fulfill the prompted that was published on June 20.

Tweet a quote that is inspirational or interesting to you in some way

This picture was taken on a recent fishing trip in Virginia Beach, VA in the early morning hours. Shonda Rhimes, the acclaimed screenwriter and producer for various award winning television dramas, is credited for the inspirational quote.  I found this quote comforting because it reminds me to not settle with limitations.  Your life is filled with endless possibilities, just like the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean.

Everybody wants to rule the world

This week, the class was tasked on creating two more daily creates by Sunday June 10.

This Daily Create is to fulfill the prompt that was posted on June 7.

What would you like to teach the world to do?

If I was able, I would teach the world how to be in charge.  According to 80’s British pop band Tears for Fears, everyone wants to rule the world.

This Daily Create is to fulfill the prompt that was posted on June 9. The task was to create an artistic graph on a subject of our choosing.  My graph is a deception of Lenny’s daily tasks.  As you can see, his days are filled with eating, sleeping, and a little bit of playing.

Here is an enlarged picture of the graph:

I enlisted the use of an online chart maker called beam.venngage.com. I was not throughly impressed with the site, because it did not have the option to export the finished graph to the creator’s hard drive.  However, the color scheme options were very bright and overall it was easy to use.  Any suggestions on a more favorable online chart maker would be greatly appreciated.

GIFs and Kalidoscopes

This daily create is to fulfil the prompt that was posted on June 4.  It is to create a Graphics Interchange Format or “GIF” on a painting or artwork from the European Art gallery.  This figure was chosen from the Japanese objects d’art link.  Click here for more info on the sculpture.

This daily create is to fulfill the prompt posted on June 6.  It is to create an image projected from a kaleidoscope. It is a picture of my living room floor.

Let’s go back in time

This post is for the Daily Create that was posted on 25 May.  Who wouldn’t want a time machine to revisit old haunts or go into the future?

So tired

This post is to fulfill the Daily Create that was posted on May 24.  We were asked to edit an image in snapchat and to place bitmoji characters to create a scene.  Here I decided to illustrate my extremely tired husband who often comes home late in the evening due to his busy work schedule.  As you can see, euphoric sleep is on the horizon.

Daily Walk

This post is to fulfill the Daily Create that was posted on May 23.  The prompt is to design your own coloring page.  As you can see, I hand-drew a picture of Lenny taking a blissful walk on a sunny day.  Although I’m afraid I drew him a bit on the heavier side..
